The Multi-Environmental All Purpose Wax Coating System

Envirotape Color Coat is a multi-environmental coating system, designed to protect piping and metal structures from the damage and deterioration caused by corrosion. This specially formulated self-hardening wax coating is suited for both above and below grade application. Color Coat is available in Gray, White or Yellow and is resistant to Ultra Violet Light and environmental exposure. The self-hardening outer skin gives this protective coating its durable and aesthetically pleasing quality. This highly conformable tape coating is ideal for protecting structures such as bridge crossings, riser pipe, flanges, valves, regulator pits and all types of metal piping. Color Coat conforms well to irregular surfaces and can be applied over most stable surfaces, weather they are dry, damp or wet.

Maximum Operating Temperature: 160°F

Surface Perparation

Remove all substances that will impede bond, to include: all loose surface material, rust, dirt and dust, burrs and sharp edges. Remove excess moisture when possible.

Application:

  • Primer: Color Coat Enviroprime primer apply a 2 to 4 mil coat to pipe surface.
  • Tape: Apply Color Coat using either the spiral or cigarette method.
50% Overlap Recommended
Hand smooth and seal overlaps.

Optional Coating Overwrap:
T/R RUGGED WRAP – Fiberglass reinforced outerwrap, UV Resistant, Water Activated. Hand applied with gloves.

Standard 25 Foot Rolls: 2”, 4” or 6” Wide
Standard Colors:
Gray, White, Yellow, Blue, Green
Other colors available upon request.

Seller’s liability for breach of warranty hereunder is limited to the purchase quantity of the seller’s product proved to be defective.
